School and Youth Group Tours Private Tours
The Columbia River Maritime Museum welcomes student and youth groups to its galleries. Please read the following information to help plan your trip. All groups must make reservations at least two weeks in advance. School and youth group tours can be arranged during business hours 9:30 to 5:00. The minimum number for a group is ten people.

The fee for youth groups is $1.00 per student and the adult chaperones are free at the rate of one chaperone per five students. The fee for additional adults in the group is $7.00 per person. Payment is due at the time of your arrival and will be accepted by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard. We request one person pay for the entire group.

Teachers are invited to visit the Museum prior to your trip. Teachers who wish to do this may arrange for complimentary admission for planning purposes.

Recommended Chaperones:
The Museum requests adult chaperones accompany the students at the rate of one adult per five students. Chaperones must remain with students at all times and actively supervise the visit. The confirmation letter you receive will outline other Museum policies. We ask that each member of the group be familiar with these policies prior to your visit.

Teachers with a confirmed tour booking will receive a packet with detailed exhibit information and suggested curriculum activities. Teachers may also wish to visit the Museum Store, which features books on maritime and local history and assorted gifts. Groups are also welcome to visit the store after their tour.

The Museum galleries and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Two wheelchairs are available for loan at the front desk. If your group has other special needs or considerations, please contact the Education Director, Betsey Ellerbroek.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least 48 hours in advance. For questions or to cancel your reservation, please contact Betsey Ellerbroek or Cynthia Svensson at 503-325-2323.
