If you have something you would like to donate, please contact the curatorial department and we would be glad to consider it. Not all offered items are accepted by the museum due to space, preservation requirements, or other factors. If we cannot accommodate your donation, we can recommend other potential repositories for your consideration. Please call, email, or complete and submit the potential donation form. Our curatorial staff will assist you with your donation.

All donations of objects are provided safe, secure and long-term preservation that meet the highest professional museum standards. These items are preserved for future generations to enjoy and appreciate, and become a legacy for the donor.

Because we are a private, non-profit, 501(C)3 organization, donations of all types may be considered tax exempt by the IRS. Determining the value of your donation can be made through comparison with similar objects of a known value; i.e. recently auctioned material, items advertised and sold for a specific price, etc. For higher valued items ($5,000.00 or more) it is necessary to have a certified, independent appraisal done by a qualified appraiser.

Below is a resource list of people who are qualified to give an appraisal. This is provided as a service and in no way constitutes an endorsement of their services by the museum. For all value deductions you should consult with a qualified tax accountant.
