The Museum is open daily 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the waterfront in beautiful downtown Astoria, Oregon. Note that the Museum is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
The Columbia River Maritime Museum is a member of Museums for All, a program designed to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits. The program supports those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits visiting the Columbia River Maritime Museum for a minimal fee of $3 per person, up to four people, with presentation of a SNAP electronic benefits transfer card. Similar free and reduced admission is available at more than 250 museums across the country.
The Columbia River Maritime Museum is a Blue Star Museum. Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America. Each summer since 2010, Blue Star Museums have offered free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families (up to 5 plus the service member), including National Guard and Reserve. The 2019 Blue Star Museums program began on Saturday, May 18, 2019, Armed Forces Day, and will end on Monday, September 2, 2019, Labor Day. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum.
