The Columbia River Maritime Museum is celebrating 51 years of success; an incredible journey even Museum founder Rolf Kelp would have thought only a dream.
The Museum is a collecting institution; it is what we do best. We collect artifacts to preserve the history of the Columbia River and the Pacific Northwest, our history.
The Museum has collected over 36,000 objects, 52 boats, 23,000 photographs, and 9,000 books and manuscripts, making it one of the finest maritime collections in the nation.
But we need more space.
The Museum took the bold step of purchasing a building to accomplish this goal, to create one of the finest curatorial research facilities in the country, one suitable for another 50 years of collecting and preserving the incredible stories of the mighty Columbia River.
We need your help to meet the challenge. We ask for your assistance in helping make the Maritime Research Center of the Pacific Northwest a reality by making a gift to the Museum, either as a member or a corporate sponsor.
Please consider a gift today to the Annual Appeal for the Columbia River Maritime Museum. We would be delighted to recognize your personal and your corporate contributions in our QuarterDeck and online.
